Custom Pet Portraits created for your special fur baby. Portraits make great gifts for all occasions or can be commissioned to memorialize your pet. Each painting is made from 2-3 quality close up photos, tell me your favorite colors or themes and a bit about your pet. I use high quality watercolor paints, goauche, and ink on artist grade paper. Paintings are mounted on birch cradle board using high quality glues, fixative and wax to make it UV and water resistant. Many artists, including myself have been using this process to cleanly display watercolor art without being distracted by the glare from the glass.


Once you purchase your painting, email Lana via (thewanderingbrushartist@gmail.com) with receipt number. I ask for 3 to 4 clear photos of the pet. Natural light works best, make sure the fur and eyes are clear colors. Forward facing or slightly angled photos work best.

I couldn't wait to tell you how much I enjoyed Lana's beginning watercolors workshop, yesterday. She is a natural teacher. She covered theory, materials, practice and application, modeling it all. Her love and enthusiasm of watercolor, shines through. She works nicely to make everyone comfortable with making both art, and mistakes.
